    Quad-S and the Engineering faculty - Branch 2 of the Lebanese University are coordinating this workshop with support from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) student chapter at the faculty. The initiative stems from Lebanese civil engineers living in France who want to share their knowledge with civil engineering students in Lebanon. The workshop aims to rekindle interest in this field and showcase opportunities for using new technologies and data to extend the life of existing structures and ensure soil stability, drawing on experience from France.

    Workshop Objectives

      Transfer knowledge and skills on structural health monitoring and civil asset management to Lebanese engineering students and faculty

      Introduce students to seismic soil behavior research and auscultation methods

      Provide practical demonstrations of monitoring technologies and equipment

      Showcase various sensor technologies during the demonstration session

      Create networking opportunities between Lebanese civil engineering students, faculty, alumni living abroad, and industry professionals

      Establish potential collaborations between Lebanese and French engineering professionals
